Modern timing chain engines aren’t without their flaws though. Plenty of them use plastic guides or tensioners that are prone to fail. All in all, discounting deeply flawed or complex designs, I think it’s silly to compromise your choice of vehicle because of the timing system.

We’ve outlined the dyno results in the following table and produced predictable results. If your lugs are screwed up you need to replace them anyway so you can rotate your tires (or replace flats I suppose.) The fact that one wheel has to come off to do your oil changes really doesn’t change anything.

Got a nice picture of a stock heatsink in a late model Macbook where 25% of the die surface area is exposed due to poor heatsink design. The charging circuit on Macbooks are also so over complicated it’s a freaking nightmare to diagnose and repair(when even possible). Apple has fallen a long way since it’s golden years before Steve Jobs came back and drove Apple off a steep cliff. Anyone remember their “snow white” design theme? Those were great times! When an entire Macintosh could be taken apart without using any tools, now THAT’s great engineering, and forethought. The PCB designs were also so much more simple back then and better designed, to last. You can still find plenty of old Mac’s and Powerbooks still humming along just fine 2 decades later, but a Macbook? Yeah good luck keeping that POS working past about 2 years, right after your Apple care warranty expires your ATi GPU will de-solder itself from the board due to excessive heat cycle’s caused by bad engineering. Well, I think that’s hard to the measure because it’s complex cocktail of things. You’ve got the rollout of the 20-foot vans and then there’s a kind of I think burn-in what we’re finding about these vans, they come out, they get to 20-foot vans, it gives them more inventory. But the guys figure out — in other words, more retail space. But the guys had to figure out how to wield it in their particular route.

Interestingly enough, in former Yugoslavia the adjustable wrench is called: “French key”. However I’m not sure anymore whether this applies to all of them or just the special type (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adjustable_spanner#/media/File:Franz_Werkz.jpg) where the wrench jaws are adjusted on the handle, not with a little screw close to the jaw.
